Magpie Café is being taken over by Matt of the Verandah Restaurant. The café is currently closed for modifications, and will be reopening with a new name, a new look and a new chef mid-July. Watch this space for more.

Gartelmann Wines

Gartelmann Wines is a boutique winery set in the heart of the beautiful Lovedale area in Australia’s Hunter Valley. Founded in 1996 by Jorg and Jan Gartelmann, we specialize in hand crafted wines sourced from the best sites in regional New South Wales.

There’s much more to Gartelmann Wines than the classic Hunter varieties of Semillon and Shiraz – although they are justifiably proud of their award-winning examples of both. Try the aromatic Verdelho, complex Chardonnay, soft Merlot and elegant Cabernet, before moving on to the toffee-citrus sweetness of our dessert Ambrosia or the toasty spice of the Liqueur Muscat.

Gift Certificates are now available direct from the Cellar Door. Give us a call on 02 4930 7113 today and we can arrange for a certificate to be sent out within two working days. Gift Certificates have a value of $50, can only be presented at the Cellar Door, and are not redeemable for cash. A message of up to twenty words can also be included on your Gift Certificate.
