Gartelmann Wines Red WinesRed WinesShiraz is the oldest Hunter red wine variety, and is the flagship red wine for the region. We make two distinctly different styles of Shiraz - Gartelmann “Diedrich” Shiraz is made in the classic Hunter style, with maturation in French and American Oak. Gartelmann “Wilhelm” Shiraz is a generous medium bodied Shiraz showing sweet mid palate fruit with a long finish and good balance. Gartelmann Merlot grapes are hand-picked from vines on a high trellis for maximum ripeness and flavour.
