2008 Chardonnay

Gartelmann Chardonnay is a complex, concentrated yet elegant wine. Carefully selected fruit is given partial barrel ferment in French oak barrels (25% new), then kept on stirred lees for 10 months to build texture and complexity. The wine is not put through malo-lactic fermentation.

The 2009 Gartelmann Sparkling White is an elegant, dry and complex sparkling wine. The base wine is 100% 2009 Chardonnay, but complexity is achieved via dosage with some lees-aged reserve wine, including a small proportion of Pinot Noir (approximately 5% of the total blend).
